Human rights abuse, debt and mega-projects - The impact of corporate globalization and the World Bank

Jhon Jaime Bedoya, Colombia. Co-director and researcher from the Institute for Popular Training (IPC) in Medellin. Will speak on Human Rights abuse and how it relates to hydro-electric developments and other mega-projects in Colombia.

Anna Kikwa, Tanzania. Tanzania Gender Network Program. Will speak about the impact of World Bank projects on women in Africa, and mechanisms of economic empowerment for women.

Lidy Nacpil, Philippines. Freedom from Debt Coalition and the Jubilee South Campaign. Will speak about efforts in the global South to shake off the chains of debt.
